RIKEN CEMS
Crystalline organic semiconductors are essential for understanding organic semiconductors and practical applications to optoelectronic devices. Thus, the crystal structure of organic semiconductors has been regarded as vital information that connects the structure-property relationship. Conventionally, experimentally elucidated crystal structures had been just accepted as they were, and the control and prediction of organic semiconductor crystals had been regarded as a formidable task. However, recent progress in theoretical and experimental approaches enables us to control and simulate their crystal structures. Furthermore, the application of crystallin organic semiconductors to various optoelectronic devices is emerging. For these reasons, the topical meeting is organized to overview the recent advancement of research on organic semiconductor crystals.
