CEMS Topical Meeting on Cold Atoms

CEMS Topical Meeting on
Cold Atoms

June 10-11, 2016
Okochi Hall, RIKEN

Overview

In recent years, the field of cold atoms has been developing remarkably, and expanding into a wide range of research fields such as quantum information science, precision measurement as well as condensed-matter, nuclear and high-energy physics. In this topical meeting, we will discuss the latest experimental and theoretical progress in the field of cold atoms, and explore what are important applications of cold atoms, as well as what are fundamental physical questions that cold atoms can potentially address. The meeting also covers related fields such as trapped ions and nanoparticles, where similar experimental technique is used.
