The 5th CEMS Award and RIKEN Researcher Incentive Award
The 5th CEMS Award was given to the following four researchers. This award is given to researchers and technicians who have contributed to achieving exemplary results in their research or research support activities.
The awardees were received certificates and commemorative medal from Center Director Tokura, and had lectures on CEMS Colloquium.
Jobu Matsuno (Strong Correlation Interface Research Group)
“Oxide-interface spintronics with strong spin-orbit interaction”
Markus Kriener (Strong Correlation Materials Research Group)
“Development of diluted magnetic semiconductor with enhanced ferromagnetic transition temperature and magnetic phase change memory function”
Taro Nakajima (Strong Correlation Quantum Structure Research Team)
“Neutron studies of dynamical structures and uniaxial stress induced phase control in magnetic materials with non-collinear spin order”
Russell D. Deacon (Quantum Effect Device Research Team)
“Observation of Gapless Andreev bound states in topological insulator Josephson junctions”
Dr. Kriener, Dr. Nakajima and Dr. Deacon were also received RIKEN Researcher Incentive Award.
