Title
Non-equilibrium quantum dynamics of spin impurities
Abstract
Ultracold atoms offer unique opportunities to study quantum many-body systems. Especially, atoms loaded into periodic potential (optical lattice) generated by a laser beam can mimic fundamental models such as the Hubbard model or the Heisenberg spin model. An important feature of the ultracold-atom systems is less dissipation and less decoherence, which enables to access non-equilibrium dynamics of such systems. In this talk I will present the quantum dynamics of mobile spin impurities in a one-dimensional Heisenberg spin chain realized with ultracold bosonic atoms in an optical lattice.
