複合アニオンが導く創発機能

講演概要

Mixed anion compounds, which contain several different anions, began to draw attention as game-changing inorganic materials. Since, compared with conventional inorganic compounds such as oxides, mixed-anion compounds may exhibit unique coordination and resultant extended structures, from which fundamentally different chemical and physical property may emerge. My talk at RIKEN aims to describe the current status and scope as well as outline future challenges surrounding mixed-anion (oxide-based) compounds, in particular, focusing on crucial roles of multiple anions in synthesis, characterization, and properties. Examples include a pressure-induced transition in SrVO₂H and a stable visible-light photocatalyst Bi₄NbO₈Cl.
